Physiotherapy
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is an undergraduate healthcare program that focuses on treating physical injuries, movement disorders, pain management, rehabilitation, and improving mobility through exercise therapy, manual therapy, and electrotherapy.
Course Duration
- 4 years academic study + 6 months internship (common structure)
- Some universities follow a 4.5 to 5-year program including compulsory clinical internship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Pass 10+2 (PUC/Class 12) from a recognized board.
- Have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as compulsory subjects.
- Usually secure 45–50% aggregate marks in PCB subjects.
- Be at least 17 years old at the time of admission.
Admission criteria
For admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course, most colleges in India require the following:
Must have completed 10+2 / PUC / Class 12 from a recognized board.
